Services Are Held For Mrs. G. M. Smith

Funeral services were held Friday morning for Mrs. Nellie M. Boyle Smith, wife of George M. Smith, who passed away Wednesday of last week after a short illness. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Harold Quinn, pastor of St. Johnís Catholic Church of which Mrs. Smith was a member. Prayer was conducted at 9:30 a.m. at the B.A. Sanborn & Son Funeral Home, followed by services at St. Johnís.

Burial was in St. Johnís Cemetery. Bearers were Calude Boyle, Ellsworth Miller and John Groman, all of Watertown; John Boyle, Copenhage, and E. T. Maloney and Rudolph Hornung of this village. Out-of-town callers at the home last Thursday evening were Mr. And Mrs. George Higman, Mr. And Mrs. William Webb and Mrs. And Mrs. Albert Higman, all of Carthage; Mr. And Mrs. Myron Holloway, Watertown; and Mrs. Gus Stehling, Sandy Creek. Attending the funeral from out of town were Donald R. Williamson, New York City; Miss Marion Ouderkirk, Syracuse; Miss Rita Montgomery, Mr. And Mrs. John Gorman and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Miller and Mrs. Mary Shaw, all of Watertown; Mrs. Burt Currier, Newton Falls; Mrs. Charles Flynn, Herkimer, and Mrs. Eugene Boyle and Mrs. Beatrice Boyle, Edwards.
