Almon G. Farnsworth Services on July 2
Almon G. Farnsworth, 61, of Clearwater, FL., formerly of Camden, died Tuesday.
A native of Camden, he was born March 26, 1910, son of Almon M. and Florence Low Farnsworth. He married the former Violet Smith Aug. 16, 1932. She died in Spetember, 1964. He later married the former Genevieve Cline in October, 1965.
Mr. Farnsworth had lived in Camden most of his life. He lived in San Diego, CA, for two years and in Rome for two years. He was a graduate of Camden High School and attended Holy Cross and Villanova Colleges. After his graduation, he entered the printing business with his grandfather Theron A. Farnsworth, later becoming associated with his father and brother, T. Albert Farnsworth, in the church offering envelope printing business. At his retirement he was president of A.M. Farnsworth Sons, Inc., Camden.
Mr. Farnsworth was a member of St. John's Church, Camden; a member and secretary of the Camden Rotary for several years, a past president of the Camden Library Association in which he was very active, a former scoutmaster and civil defense leader, and a leader in the Recovery Association.
Surviving besides his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Mary Ann) Martel, Boston, MA; two sons, David, Camden, and James, North Syracuse; his brother, in Camden and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 Friday at the Sanborn Funeral Home, Camden, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday.
