David G. Farnsworth
David G. Farnsworth, 44, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Camden, and the fourth generation owner of A. M. Farnsworth Sons Printing, Camden, died Friday in Orlando General Hospital, Orlando, Fla., after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 12, 1933, in Camden, he was a son of Almond G. and Violet Smith Farnsworth. Mr. Farnsworth graduated in 1951 from Camden Central School. He also attended Rochester Institute of Technology.
Mr. Farnsworth was an Air Force veteran. On Nov. 17, 1967, he married Barbara Johnson. He and his family moved to Orlando, Fla., in August of this year.
Mr. Farnsworth was a member of the United Church of Camden (Presbyterian) and also a trustee and elder of the church. He was past president of the Camden Rotary Club in 1964 and the Church Envelope Association. Mr. Farnsworth was a member of the Arthur S. Moran Post of the Camden American Legion, the American Trotters Association and the Harness Writers Association.
Mr. Farnsworth was also a member of the board of directors of Rome and Murphy Memorial Hospital and past president of the Camden Little League.
Surviving besides his wife are seven sons, David Jr., Michael, Kyle, Robert, Mike, Andrew and Drew; four daughters, Anne, Linda, Teresa and Tamara; a brother, James Farnsworth of North Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Clifford (Mary Ann) Martel of New Boston, N.H., and six grandchildren.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at the United Church of Camden (Presbyterian). Burial was in St. Johnís Cemetery, Camden.
