Marion L. Farnsworth

CAMDEN - Marion L. Farnsworth, 82, of Harden Boulevard, died September 7, 1997 at her home after a long illness. She was born on July 11, 1915, in Rome, NY a daughter of George and Mary McDonald Bryant.

Mrs. Farnsworth attended the Academy of Holy Names in Rome, continued her study of music and for several years served as an organist in area Catholic parishes. On June 3, 1939, she was united in marriage to T. Albert Farnsworth in St. Johnís Church, Camden, where she was a lifelong communicant and member of the Altar Rosary Society. Mr. Farnsworth died in 1985. She served as an officer of the former Farnsworth Envelope Company and was involved in volunteer activities throughout her life, including the American Red Cross, Cancer Society, The Linden Twig of Rome and The Nature Conservancy of Naples, Florida. She was a member of Teugega Country Club.

Surviving are one son, Bryant J. (Jerry) and his wife Susan of Camden; four grandchildren and one sister Catherine A. Bryant of Oneida.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Sanborn-McDaniels & LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main St., Camden. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Johnís Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice Care Inc., New Hartford, NY.
